Where to start

What brings you here?

Pick the one that fits best. They overlap more often than not, and we can work on more than one at a time.

About me

Direct, warm, and focused on change you can feel

I started in addiction treatment in 2013, and that work shaped how I see almost everything: behavior that looks irrational usually makes sense once you understand what it has been managing. Today my practice centers on trauma, substance use, and anxiety, which in my experience are often three faces of the same story.

Sessions with me are conversational, but they have a direction. I will ask real questions, tell you what I think is going on, and check regularly that what we are doing is actually helping. You do not need to have it figured out before you reach out.

How I work

Approaches matched to you, not a script

Different problems respond to different tools. These are the ones I use most, and we choose together.

Trauma processing
Accelerated Resolution Therapy
Eye movements help the brain reprocess a distressing memory so it loses its charge. You do not have to describe it out loud.
Trauma processing
EMDR
The well-researched approach ART evolved from. Available if it is the method you prefer.
Parts work
Internal Family Systems
Working with the protective parts of you, like the worrier or the part that reaches for a drink, instead of fighting them.
Skills
CBT & Motivational Interviewing
Concrete tools for thoughts, habits, and cravings, and honest conversations about change at your pace.
Insurance

Use your insurance

I accept the plans listed here for individual therapy. Send me your member ID and I will check your benefits before the first session, so you know your copay up front.

Coverage, copays, and deductibles depend on your specific plan, not just the company.
Not on the list? Self-pay is $150 per session, and I can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. HSA and FSA cards work too.
